Creamy Vegetable Soup

Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp onion, sliced
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1 cup milk
- ~1/4 lb carrot, diced
- ~1/4 lb cauliflower, cut into small pieces
- ~1/4 lb cabbage, sliced
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Place a saucepan over medium heat.
- Place vegetables in saucepan and pour ½ cup water over vegetables.
- Bring water to a boil and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Drain water from vegetables and set them aside.
- Place a pan over medium heat.
- Add butter to pan.
- Once butter starts to melt, add onion to pan and cook until tender, stirring occassionally.
- Add flour to pan and stir constantly.
- Add hot milk slowly to pan, continuing to stir while pouring.
- After mixing milk and flour very well, add vegetables to pan with 4 cups water and salt.
- Bring water to a boil.
- Once water starts to boil, cover the pan for 10 minutes to simmer.
- Serve and enjoy soup while it’s hot.
